It’s Carers Week: an annual campaign to raise the awareness of caring in the UK

4.87 million carers are worried about the impact of caring on their own physical and mental health. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on carers lives as well as the people they care for.
Almost half (48%) of all adult carers in the UK had to give up work because of their caring role and had to use perso
nal savings to help provide their care.
Carers week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don’t think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and therefore access much needed support.
Carers urgently need more support to look after their own wellbeing and to ease some of their caring duties.
We are working with councils up and down the country to take pressure off carers in every care setting by providing a simple tool to help reduce dehydration and the associated consequences. By reducing just some of the stress and worry about keeping one of the fundamentals right can be life changing.
Our Hydracare system offers remote monitoring so can be used when not physically with the individual receiving care. To improve hydration and reduce the likeliness of falls, UTI’s, AKI’s and hospital admissions, book a 10 minute product demo with us to see how much easier caring can be.
