Canary Care and Aquarate Announce New Partnership.

Poor hydration is the direct cause for thousands of trips, falls, UTI’s, AKI’s and hospital admissions each year. Many of these cases can be avoided by introducing preventative TEC devices into your loved one's home.

Aquarate and Canary Care have joined forces to offer an all-in-one package to monitor movement, temperature, activity and now fluid intake to help elderly and vulnerable people live independently at home for longer.

Aquarate’s Hydracup discreetly tracks an individual’s fluid intake by measuring liquid volume automatically, allowing family members to proactively prompt their loved ones to drink more fluid before dehydration kicks in. The Hydracup is the only smart cup on the market to produce accurate fluid intake data that integrates, in this case, straight into the Canary Care Portal. The portal allows family members to see fluid intake, spill detection and any unusual patterns in fluid consumption.

Canary Care is the category leader in advanced home monitoring technology for elderly residents. Their easy to install system monitors movement, door activity and temperature levels through a series of sensors within the home – rather than cameras or microphones – to ensure both the safety and privacy of elderly residents.

This partnership with Aquarate will enable Canary Care to provide a new level of safety and wellbeing for elderly people who are living at home.

Rebecca Taylor, CEO of Aquarate says “We are very excited to be working with Canary Care, adding the Hydracup to their product offering covers one of life’s fundamentals- hydration! We want to support elderly people to live independently for longer and give family carers peace of mind as they monitor from afar. We’re proud to now be associated with such a reputable home monitoring and alert system provider and are looking forward to hearing more incredible stories from our users about how we’ve helped improve their quality of life and prevented deterioration”.

Stuart Butterfield, Managing Director of Canary Care adds “As one of the longest established activity monitoring solutions, we are always looking for ways to enhance our offering to customers, with new sources of data to support care pathway decisions. Our customers told us that they wanted to see hydration data added to Canary Care and we are delighted to have partnered with Aquarate to do just that. The Hydracup is a unique, innovative solution that can now deliver its wealth of hydration information directly into the Canary Care platform. We can’t wait to see the improved outcomes our customers will be able to deliver as a result”.
