Salary: £55,000 -£70,000 based on experience
Location: Liverpool HQ / Hybrid Remote (UK)

Job Description:
As the Chief Technical Officer (CTO) you will be responsible for making decisions regarding Aquarate’s technical infrastructure and ensure the alignment with business goals. Your goal will be to identify long- and short-term IT needs, overseeing system designs and changes and leading technical teams in everyday operations.
Day to Day You Will:

Leading the development of new tools, services and products across a wide range of technologies (Software, Electronics hardware, AWS, Data, Security)

Tracking, analysing and monitoring technology performance metrics and risks

Maintaining current knowledge of technological developments and competitors.

Collaborate with the team to develop a technology road map

Collaborate with the Head of R&D to lead the development process and ERP/PLM system

Leading the quality of all technical outputs through a robust process, documentation and assessment at key milestones

Identifying technologies that can be used to improve a company’s products and services

lead quality assurance and reliability

Support the business in managing budget for technical development

Present reports on a company’s technological status, goals and progress

Ensuring that technological processes are in line with relevant laws and regulations
Skills and Experience Wanted:

Strong leadership skills to effectively steer a company’s technological efforts and developments

Strong decision-making skills to make choices that directly impact a company’s profitability

An in-depth understanding of a company’s challenges and objectives to effectively align technical strategies

The ability to think strategically, anticipate future developments and provide technical vision

Excellent time-management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to cope with the multifaceted nature of the job

A willingness to stay up to date regarding the latest technological advances

A solid understanding of business processes and functions with an ideal level of experience with following electronics, firmware and wireless systems.
